The Spirit of ‘76 Bookstore is proud of its colorful card room, where customers will find products for sale from dozens of greeting card lines. In addition to cards from Recycled Paper Products, designDesign, Quotable Cards, Avanti, Annie Catherine, Great Arrow, Bottman Design, Suzy’s Zoo, Marian Heath and Patience Brewster, there is an extensive offering of gift wrap, ribbon, gift bags, invitations, boxed thank-you and blank notes. Browse at leisure, and find a unique artist’s look for the next birthday card, choose a photographic card of local sites, or pick out one of the bestselling Up with Paper pop-up cards! The most frequent customer comment is, “I only came in for one card!” (as they purchase a pile of them!)
Gifts with a Marblehead scene or logo are always available, as are greeting cards of Marblehead scenes by local companies SVC Images and Helen Eddy Greeting Cards. Mouth-watering packages from Harbor Sweets can be found at our front counter (or buy a few single mints for an afternoon treat!). We don't have to point out our reading glasses tree — most customers cannot pass it by without trying on two or three pair of ICU Eyewear glasses.
